Have Joe With Joe ASPCA Fundraiser!

Come visit with the ASPCA and Hampton Coffee Company at the beautiful Hampton Classic Horse Show from August 29-September 5 and learn what you can do to help the ASPCA help horses and animals at-risk.

One thing you can do is "Have Joe With Joe!". For a donation to the ASPCA of $20 or more, you can meet Officer Joe Pentangelo, ASPCA Director of Humane Law Enforcement and Reality TV star, and he will give you a pound of our freshly roasted Hampton Classic Blend coffee beans, an Officer Joe mug to drink it in, and a set of mini-handcuffs to lock up animal abusers with (just kidding, but they make a great keychain!) .

The promotion will take place while supplies last throughout the week of the show at our ASPCA Patio area, at Hampton Coffee's Mobile Espresso Unit located at The Classic between Hunter Rings II and III, and at our flagship espresso bar & full-service cafe and coffee roastery on Montauk Highway in Water Mill, just 3 miles west of The Classic.

Hampton Coffee Comes To Montauk

Hampton Coffee Company is now serving hot and cold coffee and espresso beverages, real fresh fruit Smoothies, and our freshly baked muffins, famous scones, and desserts in Montauk thanks to our state-of-the-art Mobile Espresso Unit.

In case you haven’t already seen it around town, we recently custom built a Mercedes Sprinter Van into a virtual “Hampton Coffee Company-on-wheels” complete with the same coffee equipment and espresso machine we use at our traditional Water Mill and Westhampton Beach espresso bars and cafés.

You can find Hampton Coffee’s Mobile Espresso Van in the Kirk Beach parking lot, next to the IGA parking lot, in Montauk from 7am–2pm every day all summer long when we’re not attending a special event. You will also find us this summer at Super Saturday, The Hampton Classic, and at other Hamptons events. Our complete schedule is available here on our Web site or by signing-up for our Mobile Unit’s Twitter alerts. The Mobile Unit also is available to be rented for private parties and events.

While we’ve been doing a lot of paid events ranging from cappuccinos after a clam bake to a wedding breakfast with the Mobile Unit, many of our jobs are free for charity. We recently donated the Mobile Unit for the Project MOST fundraiser and the Quogue Wildlife Refuge benefit. Next month we’ll be at the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation’s event.”

We're Celebrating Cinco de Mayo For A Whole Week!

Hampton Coffee is celebrating Cinco de Mayo for an entire week at our café in Water Mill from Saturday, May 1, through Sunday, May 9, with festive decorations and free drinks to celebrate The Battle of Puebla, an important event in Mexican history.

Many of you already know that our Zagat-rated espresso bar and cafe in Water Mill has featured a very popular Authentic Mexican Grill Menu for years. We will be offering an expanded menu of additional homemade Mexican specialties for the entire week. Plus, anyone ordering from the Mexican Grill Menu enjoys a free Jarritos Mexican Soda on the house! Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with us in our full-service sit down cafe or call ahead and order your food to go from 7am-4pm.

Special Mexican dishes featured for Cinco de Mayo Week include Shrimp Burritos, Baja Fish Tacos, Enchiladas, and their famous Tamales. Everything is homemade and made-to-order including all our salsas and guacamole served in real stone molcajetes.

Irish Eyes Are Smiling All Month!

Irish eyes are smiling at Hampton Coffee Company this month! We’re celebrating St. Patrick’s Day throughout March with two specially-themed beverages. Our delicious Leprechaun Latte tastes like chocolate mint and Irish Crème-flavored coffee will definitely put the Irish Jig in your step. Both beverages are available every day throughout the month of March at our Hampton Coffee Company cafés on Mill Road in Westhampton Beach and Montauk Highway in Water Mill. Plus we have free samples of Irish Crème coffee every morning until lunchtime!

In addition, if you’re coming down to watch Westhampton Beach’s famous St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 13, be sure to stop in at Hampton Coffee Company in Westhampton Beach, right on the parade route. Owner Theresa Belkin (who is really from Ireland!) will have plenty of Irish Crème coffee brewing to take the chill off plus special Green & White Cookies and a melt-in-your mouth Corned Beef Reuben Melt. Corned Beef topped with sauerkraut, Swiss Cheese, and Thousand Island Dressing. Served warm and melty!

Of course, we’re baking muffins, croissants, cinnamon rolls, cookies, and our famous scones every morning in each of our cafés and serving hot soup, warm sandwiches, and much more for lunch. Lenten Lunch Specials

For all our customers observing Lent beginning Wednesday, we have a variety of non-meat breakfasts and lunches available tomorrow and every Friday until Easter. For breakfast, fill-up with a nutritious and delicious yogurt parfait or homemade oatmeal with fruit. And of course, all our baked goods are meat-free as well.

For lunch at our WHB Cafe, we have delicious homemade Tomato and Mozzarella, Grilled Vegetable, or Tuna Salad Melt Panini available every day plus vegetarian soup options.

At the WM Cafe, we have a variety of made-to-order egg dishes as well as our famous Veggie Cutlet Sandwich, Shrimp Burrito, Shrimp Fajitas, Fish & Chips Platter, and at least 2 vegetarian soups every day.

Coffee-lovers can celebrate Valentine’s Day all month at Hampton Coffee Company. This month’s special coffee flavor is Chocolate Cherry Kiss and our signature beverage is the brand-new Crème Brulée Latte.

The Crème Brulée Latte tastes just like the delicious vanilla and caramel custard dessert and is topped with melted raw sugar. Free samples of Chocolate Cherry Kiss coffee will be available every day from opening to lunchtime, all month long!

Hampton Coffee Company’s special Holiday Cafés and Gift Stores are once again open for the Season! All month, we are featuring a variety of delicious special holiday beverages, warm seasonal muffins, freshly baked pies, and fantastic holiday gifts in every price range.

This month’s limited edition beverages are the Peppermint Mocha, Peppermint Hot Chocolate, and Eggnog Latte. The Peppermint Mocha combines peppermint syrup, our signature freshly roasted espresso, chocolate syrup, and steamed milk –topped with whipped cream, chocolate drizzle, and peppermint pieces. Following The Coffee From Port To Roastery

Our Roastmaster Dwight and I took part in a special educational coffee field trip organized by the National Coffee Association recently. The goal of the tour was to educate people in the specialty coffee business about the complicated and multilayered journey that the green coffee bean takes to get from the huge container ships docked at the ports to a coffee roastery like Hampton Coffee’s roastery in Water Mill.

The tour left from the National Coffee Association’s convention in New York City and headed to the Port Newark Container Terminal in New Jersey. Once there, the Yard Operations Manager took us through the entire process showing us how coffee containers are unloaded from ships by huge machines and put onto the correct tractor-trailers that are lined-up for miles waiting for a specific shipment. From there, we followed a container to a typical first stop, the RPM Warehouse nearby. Here, Dwight and I watched as the seal on the container got broken for the first time since the coffee left its country of origin. The burlap sacks of green beans are then inspected, weighed, checked-in, and unloaded by hand. A fork lift then places the shipment in a specific area of the miles-long warehouse where it waits for it to be purchased and picked-up by another truck which will bring it to someone’s coffee roastery.

I thought that the Port to Roastery Tour was really fascinating. Every week a pallet or two of coffee beans arrives at our door in Water Mill, but we never knew how it got from Peru or Tanzania or another coffee country to that delivery truck that comes to us. It’s amazing how much goes into what happens before we get it.

As part of the tour, we sampled this year’s “Cup of Excellence” coffee from Costa Rica and discussed how to purchase coffee directly from the farmers at origin. We already purchase our Hawaii Kona and Jamaica Blue Mountain beans directly from farmer cooperatives so that they receive good prices for their beans, but it was interesting to hear how we can expand our Fair Trade buying. That is something we are going to do more of in 2010.
