Hampton Coffee Company
Under New Ownership!
New Owners Extend An Offer To The Community
The Hampton Coffee Company, the well-known espresso bar and café located at 869 Montauk Highway in Water Mill, is now under new ownership! The establishment's new owners are Pepé Martinez and Jason Belkin.
Pepé Martinez and Jason Belkin are by no means newcomers
to the Hampton Coffee Company. Pepé has been managing the
local business almost since it opened back in 1994. He has years
of experience in the industry, as well as numerous credentials
when it comes to roasting coffee beans, which is actually done
right on the premises! Jason has more than five years of restaurant
management experience, including one year as an Assistant Manager
here at the Hampton Coffee Company.
As a small family-oriented business, Pepé and Jason say
they feel it's important to be a part of the community and would
like to extend an offer to local community groups and non-profit
organizations. "During the winter, our café's dining
room is used a lot less," said Jason. "So, we'd be happy
to offer the use of the room to local groups as a place to hold
their meetings. We'd also be happy to serve your group coffee
and tea on the house." If you're interested, leave a message
for Jason at the store at 726-2633. The Hampton Coffee Company
is also happy to help with fundraising and coffee donations.
The Hampton Coffee Company has
a loyal following among many local residents who stop by every
morning for a delicious assortment of freshly-baked in the store
breakfast items ranging from buttery scones to croissants to more
than a half dozen variety of muffins, including two fat-free choices.
For lunch, the Hampton Coffee
Company offers a homemade "Soup of the Day" to help
take off the winter chill, as well as a mouth-watering selection
of made-to-order gourmet salads and sandwiches. Their latest offering
is tender Balsamic Grilled Chicken served on freshly-baked Sourdough
Bread with lettuce, tomato, and either honey mustard or creamy
herb spread. All sandwiches are served with a choice of a fresh
side salad like Cucumber & Red Onion or Red Bliss Dill Potato
salad.
For dessert, the Hampton Coffee Company will tempt you with homemade chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin cookies, hazelnut, chocolate-dipped, and almond Biscotti, and an assortment of fine pies and pastries like "Frutta Di Bosco", which is a fragrant short pastry shell with pastry cream, decorated with a rich assortment of the finest blueberries, blackberries, currant, and raspberries. Desserts are available individually or boxed to take home.
But the main attraction at the
Hampton Coffee Company is their extensive variety of estate grown
specialty coffees roasted right in the store by co-owner and "Roastmaster",
Pepé Martinez. Where else can one bring home a pound of
Organic Mexican Altura or Costa Rican Tarrazu coffee that had
just been roasted?
While other shops' coffees come
out of silver-foil bags with "Use By" dates stamped
on them, stop by any Wednesday to see our beans being roasted.
The aroma outside can actually be detected all the way up in town!
Pricing is surprisingly low. All coffees available in the store
are $10.99 a pound or $11.99 a pound for naturally-decaffeinated
Swiss Water Decaf. Same prices for mail order delivered right
to your door. There are even descriptions of each coffee's flavor
right on the coffee barrels to help guide you in your decision-making.
Try their signature Hampton Classic blend just once and
you'll be hooked!
The Hampton Coffee Company also has great Gift Baskets perfect for holiday gift-giving for anyone on your holiday list and lots of last-minute gift ideas. Winter hours are 8-5 weekdays and 7-5 weekends. They are closed on Tuesdays until the Spring.
