A Hamptons classic since 1994 ... Independently Owned Hampton Coffee Company was established in 1994 as a small espresso bar and coffee micro-roastery in Water Mill, a small hamlet in Southampton in Long Island’s The Hamptons. While The Hamptons are known as the summer playground of the rich and famous, it is more than just sun, sand, surf, and celebrities. It is also home to everyone else, from farmers to bankers to coffee people -like us! The business is owned and operated by the husband-and-wife team of Jason & Theresa Belkin. We are proud to take active roles in the communities we serve by participating in and donating to dozens and dozens of local charities and fundraisers. We’re happy to help with any cause that is important to our staff or to our customers.
Even though we are proud to offer warm and welcoming cafés and a family-friendly atmosphere, we have become a serious coffee business and are Long Island’s largest independent roaster-retailer. That means that not only to we operate a small chain of espresso bars & cafés, but we roast our own coffee for ourselves and for wholesale customers. Top-rated New York Times and Zagat restaurants like Nick & Toni’s, Starr Boggs, and Stone Creek Inn serve our coffee and the King Kullen and IGA supermarket chains feature our coffee on their shelves. In fact, if you’ve eaten in The Hamptons, chances are you’ve enjoyed our coffee! Our coffee and espresso are even served at Southampton Hospital and at dozens of local gourmet markets and shops. Hampton Coffee Company has become a landmark in The Hamptons and a must-stop for tourists and celebrities alike. In fact, many famous faces are our regular customers! But we couldn’t have done it without our regular customers, many of whom have been coming every day since we opened for the freshly roasted coffee, rich espresso, warm-from-the-oven baked goods, and superior customer service.
At our Water Mill location, we even feature a Zagat-rated full-service restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. We also sell our award-winning coffee on our Web site. We’ve shipped our coffee all over the country, and even internationally. Many of our mail order customers started as customers at our cafés, but moved away and missed our coffee. Today, dozens of boxes of coffee are shipped out from our Roastery every day. The media has taken notice of us, too. We’re regularly featured in Hamptons magazine, Newsday, Dan’s Papers, and The Southampton Press. We’ve even been featured in The New York Times, New York magazine, and many restaurant and coffee professional magazines. Proud to be part of our community Hampton Coffee Company strongly believes that one of the most important parts of being a successful business in the community is truly becoming a part of it. Our company and our employees are active participants in our communities -and beyond. One of our proudest moments was having our coffee served to the emergency workers on site at Ground Zero in New York City, just after 9-11. In addition to supporting all our neighborhood public and private schools, some local charities that mean a lot to us include...
